THANKSGIVING IS IN 2 WEEKS.

                                         

                                    ORANGE SCONES-- DELICIOUS

My kids love this scones.They are very soft.The aroma of the orange zest is amazing.

2 cups unbleached flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

pinch of salt

6 tablespoons sugar

5 tablespoons butter

1 tablespoon orange zest

Mix all in food processor and add wet ingredients as fallow:

1 egg

1/4 cup orange juice

1/4 cup buttermilk

Mix all and add slowly to dry ingredients with butter.

 Take out from food processor on floured surface.Add 1/8 cup of white raisins, work in with your hands.

Make to circles about 6-8 inch and cut in 1/8.

Bake 15-18 min 400 F.

Make orange glaze;

1/2 cup powder sugar

1 tablespoon fresh orange  juice

Mix and glaze scones.
